The idea

A more personal way to experience Lake Como.

Private

No crowded tour. The experience is hosted for your group at a villa, hotel, B&B, apartment, farm or partner venue.

Local

Paola was born and raised in Morbegno and shares the valleys, stories and cheeses she grew up with.

Elegant

Curated but not formal. Educational, sensory and welcoming, with the feeling of being hosted by someone from the place.

Meet your host

Paola Rossotti

Paola was born and raised in Morbegno, between Lake Como and the Valtellina mountains. Her roots are deeply tied to the valleys, food traditions and Alpine rhythms of this part of Northern Italy.

She spent many years abroad between Switzerland and England, working across aviation, events, hospitality, public relations and tourism. As former Head of Guest Advisor for the Bregaglia Valley, on the edge of the Engadin in Switzerland, she welcomed and advised international visitors from all over the world.

Her grandparents were farmers with cows, so cheese is not just a product for her. It is family memory, mountain culture and identity. Today, as a qualified Sommelier del Formaggio, she brings that world to guests with warmth, elegance and genuine local knowledge.

Paola speaks Italian, English, German, French and Spanish, and hosts Alpine Cheese Experience tastings in English, German and Italian. She is also married to an Austrian, which gives her a natural connection to the wider Alpine cheese culture across Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
